Security Center Enhancements

Overview

Disaster Recovery. Ensure your Directory server remains operational in the event of a disaster with the new ability to configure multiple failover directories in geographically disparate locations.

Alarm Grouping And Filtering. For a better viewer experience, alarms can now be grouped to help remove some of the clutter caused by recurring, non-urgent alarms. Alarms can also be managed as a group with available actions including acknowledge/snooze/forward.

Plan Manager Enhancements. Superior layer management by object type (eg. doors, cameras), as well as optimized map scaling when zooming in and out by assigning geographical coordinates to static and dynamic objects, continue to enhance the operator experience. Access control units are now supported within maps, enabling users to visually monitor their real-time status.

New Tiered SDK Packages. Simplified access to the Security Center SDK for custom development and interconnectivity through a new Basic SDK package, requiring only online enrollment. More advanced levels of integration available through the Advanced SDK package.

Security Desk in 64-bit Mode. For scenarios that require use of workstation memory, like complex maps with hundreds of dynamic entities, users now have the option to install the Security Desk client as a 64-bit client application.

Active Directory Universal Group Support. Greater Active Directorysynchronization flexibility now available through the ability to synchronize universal groups, as well as security groups, belonging to other domains within the same forest.

Overview

New Omnicast™ capabilities protect your system against cyber-threats, ensure continued availability of your video, and generally optimize post-incident handling and editing of snapshots and exported video.

Enhanced Security for RTSP Connections. Protect your system against cyber-attacks with added token-based authentication for RTSP requests and added encryption by leveraging RTSP over TLS also known as RTSPS.

Three Tier Archiver Failover. Enhance the reliability of your video surveillance system and protect your local site with multiple Failover Archivers, including the ability to define the order of priority for cameras to failover from one server to another. Especially useful in multi-site deployments with remote locations.

Snapshot Enhancements. Snapshots can now be automatically emailed through the standard Event-to-Action mechanism, while saved snapshots can be edited (cropped, blurred, masked, rotated, flipped ) and re-exported to conceal sensitive information, protect privacy, or generally enhance snapshots.

MP4 Export and Other Enhancements. Quickly convert exported video to MP4 file format and leverage common off-the-shelf video players. Exported video can now also be edited (eg. modify length, add bookmars) and then re-exported.
